About this course

Structured prompting, tool use and reusable prompt systems that make AI dependable daily.

This is a focused 2-week bootcamp - short, intensive and built to give you one job-ready skill fast. It runs online in the August 2026 cohort (starting 1 August 2026) and is taught the EchoLens way: you learn by doing real, gradeable work rather than just watching lectures.

What's included

  • Live, instructor-led online sessions across 2 weeks (8 hours total).
  • Hands-on coding quests you solve inside the EchoLens browser compiler - nothing to install.
  • Gems, stages and a leaderboard that keep you moving instead of grade anxiety.
  • A verified certificate with a scannable QR code, ready to share on LinkedIn, when you finish.
  • The first week is open free so you can try the course before you pay.

What you will learn

Course learning outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • CLO 1. Write structured, reliable prompts using the role-task-context-format-constraints method to get consistent professional output from an LLM.
  • CLO 2. Apply the five core prompt patterns - rewrite, extract, summarise, classify, generate - and chain prompts into multi-step workflows.
  • CLO 3. Build and package a custom assistant with guardrails into a reusable, sellable prompt product.

Course outline - class by class

8 classes, each with hands-on quests you clear in the portal - the whole first week is open free.

  • Class 1. The anatomy of a strong prompt - Role, task, context, format, constraints - the five parts that separate a vague ask from a reliable one
  • Class 2. Reliable, structured output - Forcing clean tables, JSON and fixed sections every time, plus few-shot examples and filler-killing constraints
  • Class 3. The five daily work patterns - Rewrite, extract, summarise, classify, generate - the five moves that cover most real work
  • Class 4. Reasoning and reliability - Step-by-step working, decomposing big tasks, self-check instructions, and making the model ask before guessing
  • Class 5. Prompt chaining and workflows - Multi-step prompting where each output feeds the next, and designing chains you can rerun forever
  • Class 6. Custom assistants - System prompts that hold, Custom GPTs / Claude Projects with knowledge, personas, firm rules and refusing drift
  • Class 7. Domain prompts that sell - Where prompt skill turns into paid work - marketing, coding, data, business - and pricing by the outcome it saves
  • Class 8. Capstone: a reusable prompt product - Packaging prompts as a sellable asset: placeholders, consistency testing, a usage guide and a one-line pitch

How you submit: Quests solved in the built-in AI Prompt Lab - write and run prompts like a compiler and submit the workbook directly.

A Deployable Custom Assistant and Prompt Pack

A live, shareable assistant plus a pack someone could buy and use today.

One working custom assistant (a Custom GPT or Claude Project) built for a specific profession, backed by a documented prompt pack - packaged as a product: a link a buyer can open and a guide they can follow, proven consistent across real inputs.

  • A defined niche and the exact problem the assistant solves
  • A strong system prompt: persona, rules, output format, and clean refusals when asked to drift
  • A small knowledge base or instruction set loaded into it
  • At least one reliable prompt chain built into the usage guide
  • A prompt pack of five or more reusable prompts with placeholders and fixed output formats
  • Tested on three or more real inputs for consistent results
  • A short usage guide and a one-line sales pitch

Shipped when: The assistant is live and shareable by link, behaves consistently across test inputs, stays on topic and refuses off-topic asks, and the pack is a clean document a buyer could use with no editing.

Who it's for

Prompt Engineering & ChatGPT/Claude Mastery suits learners at a beginner level who want a practical, project-based route into Prompt Engineering. You need only a browser and an internet connection - all coding runs inside the EchoLens compiler, so there is nothing to set up.

Certificate

Finish every stage and EchoLens issues a verified certificate carrying a QR code anyone can scan to confirm it on our site. You can add it to your CV or share it to LinkedIn in one click.
