About this course

Core design principles, typography and brand assets - a solid visual foundation.

This is a 6-week short course - enough depth to build real projects and a portfolio piece, without a long commitment. It runs online in the August 2026 cohort (starting 1 August 2026) and is taught the EchoLens way: you learn by doing real, gradeable work rather than just watching lectures.

What's included

  • Hands-on coding quests you solve inside the EchoLens browser compiler - nothing to install.
  • Gems, stages and a leaderboard that keep you moving instead of grade anxiety.
  • A verified certificate with a scannable QR code, ready to share on LinkedIn, when you finish.
  • The first week is open free so you can try the course before you pay.

A Complete Brand Identity Package

A full visual identity plus applied collateral, packaged the way a paying client receives it.

Create a complete brand identity for one business and apply it across real collateral, delivered as an organised client package. It is the single strongest piece a junior designer can put in a portfolio because it proves consistency, not just one nice graphic.

  • A brand brief covering the business, its audience, and the desired feel
  • A logo with its variations and clear space rules
  • A defined colour palette and type system with usage notes
  • A one page brand guideline sheet
  • A set of at least four on brand social media graphics
  • One piece of marketing collateral such as a flyer, banner, or menu
  • A business card or stationery item
  • At least one AI generated or AI edited visual, refined onto brand
  • Everything exported correctly and organised in a labelled folder with editable source files

Shipped when: Every asset looks like it belongs to one brand, the files are correctly exported and organised, and a client could hand the folder to another designer and continue seamlessly.
